Begins with the intention for our app, to provide a phone app for our customers who prefer reading stories from our 4 papers on their phone, instead of paper, or our website.

Information we collect while you interacting with the app, why we collect it

• We count the number of times a story gets click on to open the story and read it
• We count the number of times a story gets shared
• Both stories and share clicks are counted anonymously to help us understand what is interesting to our customers as a group. Knowing what each person clicks on would not be helpful for our intention, as we write for our community, not individuals or groups of individuals. We want to create stories that help people see what they have in common, not what makes them different.
• We count the number of times a story is clicked on or shared to create a trend report listing all our stories during the last 30 days, with the number of times each story was clicked on or shared
• The trend report helps us understand what is relevant to our customers, if our refinements to story writing, story topics, categories, new ideas for types of information to make available in the app are helping us advance our standard for excellence, by remaining relevant to our customers and communities

Information we do not collect from your interacting with the app and why

• We do not ask for any of your contact or personal information, we collect no personal information about you in order to have the app on your phone or to interact with the app
• We do not collect information on app menu selections for language, source, categories or notifications
• We do not collect information to create a profile for the stories you click on, share, or the ad images in stories you click on
• The reason for this is our standard for app interactions is you open the app, find what matters most to you in 3 to 5 seconds, read the story in 2 minutes or less to than get on with your day, enjoying what matters most for you to be caring towards in a manner that sparks confidence Changes to our privacy policy
